Technique & Material

For each case, we choose the right solution and technology.

Plastic

The patient-specific surgical guides and pre-operative models from 3D Medical Models are 3D-printed in biocompatible polyamide (PA12). This is done using the innovative Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology according to the medical production standards ISO 13485.

Metal

Metal 3D-printing (titanium) is carried out using Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technology. This technology can be used for implantable devices.

Sterilization

The 3D-printed models are validated for steam sterilization, and all information about sterilization and cleaning can be found in the Instructions for Use (IFU).

Quality with ISO 13485

Validated 3D-printing process

3D Medical Models operates according to a fully validated ISO 13485 process. This applies to 3D-printing, the software, and the entire workflow. The quality management system EN ISO 13485:2016 is globally and industry-wide recognized.
